The Water’s Edge Restaurant can’t be missed, with its large white umbrellas and sweeping ocean views providing the ideal setting for Fiji holiday dining. A magnificent starlit setting at the water’s edge is enhanced by the music and songs of the “Castaway Islanders” with their acoustic guitars and island style bass. The restaurant is the main resort dining venue and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
If you fancy wood fired pizza & tropical salad bar the Sundowner Bar is open for breakfast (selected times of the year), lunch & dinner. Wood fired breakfast pizza & continental buffet from 9:00am. From 12 noon enjoy wood fired pizza, prawns and salad bar.

The Fijians’ love of children is legendary and you can be assured your children will be well cared for by your Castaway family. The free Castaway Kids Club is renowned as the place to be for fun. Supervised daily adventures and educational games with a distinctive Fijian flair run throughout the day and into the evening. Designed for children 3 years and over, our Kid’s Club offers fully supervised activities from 9:00am to 4:00pm and then from 5.30pm to 10:00pm daily.
The ‘Nuku Marau’ grill, by the family pool, offers a variety of Asian and Polynesian inspired delights throughout the day including fresh hand-rolled sushi, California rolls, Hibachi skewers, Hawaiian ‘tuna poke’, delicious Castaway burgers, traditional fish and chips and assorted wraps.
If preferred, babysitters are also available throughout the day and evening at a nominal charge.
Two pools equals twice the relaxation for adults. Castaway is essentially a family resort but sometimes parents need a little time out from little ones. Great for couples too who aren’t quite at the stage for being patient with children at play. Castaway’s kids pool has lovely water features and and is the perfect depth for toddles to be OK if they have a little tumble.

Each free-standing, traditionally thatched garden bure features a high vaulted hand painted ‘tapa’ lined ceiling, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, large bathroom with shower, hairdryer and toiletries with a distinct Fijian accent. All bures have one king bed with two single beds having a sliding privacy screen separating the two bedroom areas.
A rollaway bed for a fifth person in the bure is available, however, this capacity is subject to availability.

Castaway’s family bure is essentially two bures with interconnecting doors. It is located beachfront so is perfect for a larger family wanting to spoil themselves with space and one of the best and most convenient locations on the island.
How to get to Castaway Island, Fiji?
Castaway is located in the very popular island resort area known as the Mamanuca Group of islands. The Mamanucas are popular due to their close proximity to the mainland of Fiji, Viti Levu. Getting to Castaway is easy and fun! Castaway is serviced by South Sea Cruises via fast, 150 seat, split deck air-conditioned catamarans. Transfer cruising time is approximately one hour, thirty minutes. The air-conditioned catamaran departs both Denarau Marina and Castaway Island three times daily. Want to arrive a little quicker? Fast helicopter and seaplane transfers are also available.
