This boutique resort is ideally located on a secluded beach only 8kms from downtown Averua. With only 35 spacious suites and studios that overlook either the aqua lagoon or the resort’s lush tropical gardens, this low rise resort imbues an easy going feeling that immediately encourages guests into a carefree Pacific rhythm.
Sunset accommodation options include a variety of room types from Beachfront Studios to Poolside 2 Bedroom suites for larger families or friends. All studios and suites feature a kitchen and extensive amenities including an outdoor living space.
The resort offers two swimming pools along with the intimate poolside bar ‘Birdcage’. ‘The Anchorage Restaurant’ renown as one of the best resort dining experiences on Rarotonga. Complimentary one way transfers to the Saturday market are available. Furthermore, when you team this with the fabulous sunset views over the lagoon, there is no better place to spend a few quiet holiday evenings.
Just what we needed
Such a treat to go back to Sunset and be greeted by the lovely staff there. We treated ourselves to a beach front room this time and it was so nice to wake up and hear the water each morning. The rooms are very well presented with new bathroom facilities. Also a treat was the daily servicing of the room by the cheerful house cleaners. December is a quiet time in Rarotonga and at the Sunset so a great time to really unwind in the sun. TripAdvisor.com
