The Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort is a fabulous ‘all round’ resort. Its 206 hotel rooms and Suites, and 47 Bures are furnished in a contemporary style with Pacific influenced décor.  The resort’s signature Talai Butler Service is available for guests staying in Premium, Deluxe Ocean View rooms and above.  A take on a traditional butler service, Talai includes sparkling wine and canapes delivered to your room every afternoon. As well as having your own onsite ‘contact’.

Whilst hotel rooms accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children U17. The resort will confirm interconnecting rooms subject to availability at the time of reservation should families require more space and privacy.  Alternatively, for larger families the Bure and Suite accommodation will accommodate 2 adults/3 children U17*. A limited number of Family Bures and Two Bedroom Family Suites can accommodate up to 10 people making it an ideal resort choice.

While we are on the subject of family travel

The Outrigger prides itself on its reputation as being one of the best family resorts in the country, and it works hard to ensure that it continues to deliver a safe, relaxing and entertaining environment for families with children of all ages. 

It’s fabulous Meimei Nanny Service is an affordable service (F$360 for 4 days) whereby professional nannies are retained by guests to look after their younger children (6 months +) for up to 8 hours a day for 4 consecutive days. Children are engaged in age-appropriate games and socialisation and a written daily brief is provided to the parents accordingly. This absolutely genius service ensures little kids get the attention they require, and weary parents get the holiday they so desperately need!

Children 3 years + are welcome to attend the complimentary daily kids Club which operates from 9am to 9pm in 3 sessions for children 3 – 7 years and then 8 – 12 years.  And not forgotten, there is a daily activity program available for teens (13 years +) which includes day trips, hikes, student exchange to a local High School, etc.  A nominal fee applies for the teen program.

And for the adults?

The Outrigger is equally mindful of ensuring its adult guests, be they child encumbered or not, have a relaxing, uninterrupted holiday.  There is an a la carte adult only breakfast menu and lunchtime tapas offered at Vahavu Bistro, located beside the adult only pool (complete with swim up bar).  Kalo Kalo Bar, located adjacent to the fabulous Hilltop Bebe Spa, is open to adults only for cocktails, tapas and Oysters at Sunset. Vakavanua Lounge becomes child free from 9pm and children U12 years are not permitted to dine at the resort’s award-winning fine dining Ivi Restaurant.

But guests of all ages are welcome to dine at the resort’s other 3 restaurants and lobby based café and to enjoy the Outriggers extensive beachside activities including snorkelling, paddleboards and onsite PADI dive operation. There is a tennis court, golf training facility, gym, Fijian cultural activities and a variety of nearby attractions such as the Kula Wild Adventure Park (adjacent to the resort) and Hot Glass Fiji (within 1 km).
