Our third time to Sofitel. Last two visits we stayed for two weeks straight. We love it here and Moorea is our favorite. Staff at Sofitel are amazing and so nice and they remembered us from previous trips which made us feel even more welcome. Rooms are comfortable and clean. We come in December, so prices are cheaper. Plenty of sun. Snorkeling is incredible and the sea life and coral are healthy and vibrant. From rays to reef shark and turtle to hundreds of colorful fish. Feels like swimming in an aquarium. How to get to Sofitel Kia Ora Moorea Beach Resort ?
For guests arriving from Papeete International Airport (PPT) on the main island of Tahiti, you can take a scenic 15-minute flight to Moorea Airport. From Moorea Domestic Airport (MOZ), it’s a 5-minute drive in a private minivan. From the Moorea ferry wharf the journey is 10 minutes.
Ferry transfers (one hour) between Tahiti and Moorea are daily with the first ferry departure from Tahiti to Moorea at 6:05am and the last outbound ferry departing at 5:30pm. Ferries depart Moorea to Tahiti from 5:20 am until 5:15 pm.
