Two minutes of your time means a lifetime of difference for our Fiji Kids

Our charity of choice, Fiji Kids, is asking for help this Christmas to give a little extra cheer to kids in need. You can help by donating to purchase Christmas Hampers and school books for the New Year. See below.

It’s the time of year when it feels good to share our good fortune with those who are not so lucky.

Fiji Kids would love your support to ensure every one of the families we support receives a nutritional family food hamper.

Hampers are FJ$130 (AUD$80) and include all the basics: 10kg of flour and rice, potatoes, onions, dhal, tea, tinned fish, powdered milk plus a few treats like some chocolate biscuits and milo for the kids.

For many families, your gift will equate to 1-2 weeks income and they would never be in the position to purchase a shopping trolley of food like this.

You can donate for one hamper – or more – or your smaller contribution is very welcome.

About 75 Fiji Kids will go back to school or Uni in January so a team of dedicated volunteers will shortly be off to Fiji!

This is our 9th consecutive annual “Back to School” event and we are so grateful for the wonderful assistance of supporters who cover their own travel costs, and give up holiday time to help kids in need.

Our job is to outfit all the students for the new school year, making sure they have all the uniforms, educational and sporting gear they need to put in their best effort. We speak with their parents or carers to make sure there is a strong focus and commitment to education and help solve issues that may get in the way of school attendance, where we can. We will also be interviewing recent graduates for a place in our Tertiary Education Scholarship Program with a number of Fiji Kids aspiring to a university course in 2018.

It is a fun and rewarding experience and only possible because of the generous support of sponsors.
