Likuliku Lagoon Resort

A resort of understated luxury for adults only

Likuliku Lagoon Resort is a unique property of relaxed refinement

With a design so loyal to traditional Fijian Architecture that at first sight, you believe you are arriving in an ancient village

The first resort in Fiji to build authentic Over Water Bures

Likuliku Lagoon Resort’s  accommodation range is built using natural materials with local hardwood floors, hand woven magi-magi (woven coconut husk) adorning the soaring roof trusses and internal thatching created by artisans from Fiji’s Lau group of Islands.
35 bures are nestled along the resort’s lagoon and ocean frontage. Each feature indoor and outdoor showers, an ocean facing deck and private day bed retreat. 18 of them (Deluxe Beachfront Bures) also feature private plunge pools.

10 Over Water Bures rise above the coral reef, each with their own private water access and stunning views. Regardless of category, all accommodations enjoy contemporary décor and amenities, including an in-room filtered water dispenser and complimentary water flask to minimize plastic bottle usage.

Dining at Likuliku is a true pleasure (some would argue a highlight!)

A daily changing a la carte menu is presented to guests in a mini degustation style to suit the climate. Presenting the finest local and international produce, with an emphasis on local seafood, Chef’s delicious creations are as beautiful to look at as they are to eat. And while breakfast rarely rates a mention in resort reviews, breakfast here deserves a special shout out as it is fabulous! Most would argue that the mud crab omelet is the star of the show, but I for one, cannot go past the twice cooked Gruyere cheese souffle.

Not to be outdone, the bar staff have created a signature ‘Coco Mojito’. Best served at sunset at the Masima Bar (ideally located at the end of the Jetty) it is best shared with newly made friends and rollicking stories of your day’s activities.

What should we do today?

Given Likuliku’s choice island location, there are several water-based activities available. These include snorkelling, diving, water skiing, wakeboarding, knee boarding, kayaks, windsurfing, island hopping, sandbar picnics, dolphin safaris and sunset cruises. Or for those who prefer land-based pursuits, there is a gym and some hiking trails. An indulgent Spa experience at Tatadra Spa is well worth the price of at least one of your precious ‘holiday afternoons’ and should not be missed.

Family owned, and a member of National Geographic’s ‘Unique Lodges of the World’, multi award winning Likuliku Lagoon Resort is strongly committed to conservation, sustainability, and the local community. It embraces you just as a village embraces its returning family members, and it is this warmth and joy that encourages visitors to return time and time again.

Wow!

This is an amazing place, with outstanding quality in food, service, and amenities. This is the place where a staff member spends 30 minutes spelling out "happy birthday" in flower petals on yr bed. The place where the Manager comes to wave you Goodbye in person. Where every staff member's "bula" is reflected in their smiling eyes. Where each time you sit down for lunch or dinner you experience a tiny thrill of expectation, "what will be on the menu today?", and each meal your expectations are met. TripAdvisor.com
