Rangiroa and Tikehau sit within the Tuamotu Archipelago, a chain of coral atolls northeast of Tahiti that are famous for their crystal-clear lagoons and extraordinary marine life. Rangiroa is one of the largest atolls in the world and the largest in French Polynesia, formed by a vast ring of coral motu surrounding a lagoon so large it feels like an inland sea.

Rangiroa is particularly renowned among divers and snorkellers thanks to its incredible underwater biodiversity. At famous passes such as Tiputa Pass, encounters with dolphins, manta rays, reef sharks and large schools of tropical fish are common, making it one of the South Pacific’s premier dive destinations.

Just a short flight away lies Tikehau, a smaller and more intimate coral atoll known for its tranquil lagoon and striking pink sand beaches. The lagoon, surrounded by an almost continuous coral reef, is often described as a natural aquarium filled with vibrant marine life.

Together, Rangiroa and Tikehau offer a more remote and untouched side of Tahiti. Visitors come to experience drifting lagoon snorkels, quiet motu picnics and spectacular coral reefs, all set within some of the clearest waters in the Pacific.
