Tokoriki Island Resort

Catering to adults only, there is much to love about this gorgeous Island Resort

Privately owned, Tokoriki Island Resort is a beautifully maintained boutique resort located on the northern most island of the Mamanuca group.  Promoted as ‘relaxed luxury’, its 36 freestanding Bures/Villas all have uninterrupted lagoon views and air conditioning.  Whilst traditional in their thatched design, their dècor is contemporary.  Each is elegantly appointed with a luxurious king size bed, indoor/outdoor showers, mini bar and outdoor private deck with sun lounges and hammocks.  18 Bures and 10 Villas also feature your own private 3.5m x 2.5m swimming pool.

Encouraging guests to ‘switch off from the real world’, all accommodation is free of television, WiFi and telephones.  For those who want it however, complimentary WiFi is available to all guests in the main complex.

So much (or little) to do

Guest activities include stand up paddleboards, hobie cats, snorkelling, kayaking, diving, hiking, tennis, a TRX Fitness Platform, private island picnics, sport fishing, PADI Diving, village tours and an indulgent hillside Day Spa, ensuring that your days are as engaged as you want them to be.  There are 2 restaurants including a Teppanyaki Table, and a Resort bar that comes alive as the sun starts to set and people return from their daily pursuits, sharing impassioned stories of their days’ adventures.

One of its greatest assets is of course, it’s beautiful, long serving staff, who treat new visitors like old friends, and returning guests like family.  

Tokoriki is popular with couples of all ages – from honeymooners to 40^th anniversary celebrations and everyone in between.  The result is a higher level of social interaction than you often find in couples-only resorts as people of all ages, nationalities, and walks of life mingle around the resort’s bar, enjoying Mita’s cocktails with newly made friends.  This inevitably results in tables being spontaneously joined as lively conversation carries from sunset cocktails to dinner.  This organic balance of ‘couples’ time and new friends is a big part of the ‘Tokoriki magic’ that sees guests return time and time again.
